Spinal Energetics is a somatic and energetic healing modality developed by Dr. Sarah Jane Perri. It combines elements of chiropractic care, Eastern energetic practices, and somatic awareness to work with the spine, nervous system, and the body’s stored experiences.
This work engages both the physical and energetic body, supporting the release of tension, emotional holding, and subconscious patterns that may be stored within the system.
Rather than forcing change, Spinal Energetics invites the body into its own natural process of unwinding, integration, and self-healing.
Sessions are what your body is ready for them to be. This practice is expansive, intuitive and client-led.
If you're new to Spinal Energetics, you may have seen videos of people during a session who move in a variety of ways. Everyone's experience is unique and there is not right or wrong | good or better way to exist in these moments. Some people move a little, a lot, or not at all. The movement we can see does not dictate the movement that is happening within. Experience and expressions will vary from session to session based on the way life is flowing in the moment and on the day.

During a session, you remain fully clothed while lying on a treatment table. Throughout the experience, the work may include light touch, connected touch, and moments of no touch at all. You will receive cues to guide the breath and expansion into the experience, and subtle interactions with the spine and nervous system.
Each human is unque and so is each session is unique. I arrive open and curious to meet you where you are, in the moment, and on the day.

What will I experience in a Spinal Energetics session?
Experiences are as unique as each individual.
Common expressions and experiences may include:

Spontaneous movements: stretching, shaking, yoga-like poses.
Emotional responses of any variety based on what the body wants to sit with/flow through

If you’re new to energy work, it may take a few sessions to truly feel and connect with your body. Regular sessions, along with breathwork, yoga, and other practices, can help deepen your mind-body connection. Feel free to ask about itegration support at any time before or after sessions.
No. People come for a range of reasons, including stress, burnout, emotional processing, or simply a desire to feel more connected and regulated in their body. This practice supports and complements other emotional support and processing techniques like talk therapy, EMDR, somatic therapies, mindfulness practices, and body-centered approaches such as yoga or breathwork.
While each session can be impactful on its own, many people benefit from starting with a series of three sessions to allow the body to build and integrate the work over time.
Spinal Energetics is not a “quick fix.” Just as any new practice takes time for the body to respond - like going to the gym - releasing a lifetime of stored emotions and experiences takes time and commitment. Most people start to see improvements after 3-5 sessions, usually spaced anywhere between a week to a month between sessions. Each session helps strengthen your mind-body connection, and many feel the benefits from the start.
How often should I schedule sessions?
The rhythm of sessions will look different for everyone. At first, meeting more frequently can help your body and nervous system settle into the work and strengthen your mind-body connection. Once that foundation is established, I’ll invite you to tune into your own body and decide what cadence will serve you best. Through that built foundation and the integration word to stay connected to your needs, your body will naturally let you know when it’s time for support. You might feel called to regular maintenance sessions on a rhythm that works for you, during times of stress, when you’re feeling stuck, or simply when your body is asking for realignment and restoration. Your body, your experince, your leadership.
